Prepare the Machine
- Home XYZ.
- Lower the Z-axis by 300 mm.
- Wait until the build chamber, build platform, and hot ends are at room temperature.
- Open the build chamber door.
- Push the E-stop button.
- Turn the power OFF with the ON/OFF switch found on the front panel of the machine.
- Turn the main disconnect switch in the OFF (O) position.
Empty Purge Bin
Wait until all machine components are at room temperature before you continue. Some machine components can be hot if the machine was recently used. Failure to do so can cause injuries.
- Open the filament storage drawer (1).
- Identify the purge bin (2) on either side of the storage drawer (1).
- Pull the purge bin (2) out of the filament storage drawer.
- Empty the purge bin (2). Discard the filament beads in accordance with the local regulations.
- Install the purge bin (2) inside the filament storage drawer (1).
- Make sure that the filament chute is above the purge bin (2).
- Close the filament storage drawer (1).
Test and Return to Service
- Make sure that you remove all the tools from the machine enclosure.
- Close the build chamber door.
- Turn the main disconnect switch in the ON (1) position.
- Turn the power ON with the ON/OFF switch found on the rear panel of the machine.
- Release the E-stop button.
- Home XYZ.
