Preparation

  1. Home XYZ.
  2. Lower the Z-axis by 200mm.
  3. Push the E-stop button.
  4. Wait until the machine is at room temperature.

Check Z-Axis

Z-Axis

  1. Make sure that the two lead screws (1) are not dry or tacky to the touch.
  2. If the lead screws are dry or tacky, clean and lubricate the Z-axis.
  3. Do the steps that follow and listen for loud or unusual noise:
    1. Release the E-stop button.
    2. Home XYZ.
    3. Lower the Z-axis to the bottom of the build chamber.
    4. Home XYZ.
  4. If any loud or unusual noise occurred during the previous step, clean and lubricate the Z-axis.

Test and Return to Service

  1. Release the E-stop button.
  2. Home XYZ.
