This procedure gives the instructions on how to fill the coolant reservoir to make sure that there is enough coolant. Correct coolant level prevents:

  • Components that are too hot
  • Component failures

Prepare the Machine

  1. Push the E-stop button.
  2. Wait until the build chamber, build plate and cooling circuit are at room temperature.

AON-M2 2020 Coolant Level Fill

  1. Make sure that the coolant level in the coolant reservoir (1) is approximately 2.5 cm from the top. 2.5 cm
  2. If there is not sufficient coolant in the reservoir, do steps 3. to 5.

    Do not touch the cooling components when the machine is hot. Failure to do this can cause severe injuries.

  3. With a large flat screwdriver, open the coolant reservoir cap (2). Coolant Reservoir Cap

    Do not mix different types of liquid coolant. Only use the recommended coolant. Failure to do this can cause to damage to the cooling circuit.

  4. Add the high-performance liquid coolant in the coolant reservoir until it is approximately 2.5 cm from the top.
    1. If there is overflow, clean with a cloth.

      Do not over-tighten the coolant reservoir cap. Only tighten until sealed. Failure to do this can cause to damage to the cooling reservoir and coolant reservoir cap.

  5. With the large flat screwdriver, install the coolant reservoir cap.

  1. Make sure that the coolant reservoir (1) is full. Full Reservoir
  2. If there is not sufficient coolant in the reservoir, do steps 3. to 5.

    Do not touch the cooling components when the machine is hot. Failure to do this can cause severe injuries.

  3. With a large flat screwdriver, remove the coolant reservoir cap (2).

    Do not mix different types of liquid coolant. Only use the recommended coolant. Failure to do this can cause to damage to the cooling circuit.

  4. Add the high-performance liquid coolant in the coolant reservoir until it is full.
    1. If there is overflow, clean with a cloth.

      Do not over-tighten the coolant reservoir cap. Only tighten until sealed. Failure to do this can cause to damage to the cooling circuit.

  5. With the large flat screwdriver, install the coolant reservoir cap (2).

Test and Return to Service

  1. Release the E-stop button.
  2. Home XYZ.
  3. Make sure that there are no leaks on the outside of the machine while the cooling system operates.
