Prepare the Machine

  1. Home XYZ.
  2. Lower the Z-axis by 300 mm.
  3. Push the E-stop button.
  4. Wait until the build chamber, build plate, hot ends, and halogen light bulbs are at room temperature.

Halogen Light Bulbs Inspection

  1. Touch the user interface to make sure the machine is not in sleep mode.
  2. Open the build chamber door.

    Allow all machine components to reach room temperature prior to proceeding further. Failure to allow components to cool down will result in thermal injury (burns) to personnel.

    The halogen light bulbs are very hot. Do not touch the bulbs or anything around the bulbs. Failure to do will result in thermal injury (burns) to personnel.

  3. Make sure that all six halogen light bulbs (1) are on.
  4. If a halogen light bulb is not on, refer to Replace Chamber Halogen Bulb.

Test and Return to Service

  1. Release the E-stop button.
  2. Home XYZ.
