While you are free to use any brand and type of material you wish on your AON3D machine, we can only provide support for AON3D-approved materials that we have tested and developed processes for in-house, all of which can be purchased from AON3D directly by contacting sales@aon3d.com.

Usage Notes

Build Surface Preparation

Nylon prints best on PEI film with a thin layer of PVA glue applied while the bed is cold. Adhesive residue should be cleaned with water followed by isopropanol.

Material Pre-treatment

Nylon is extremely susceptible to moisture uptake. We recommend drying the filament overnight at 80ºC before use, and to always store in a sealed container with dessicant. Take care to check the spool material of your filament prior to baking your material. Some vendors use low temperature materials for spools which may melt or deform at bakeout temperature.

Support Material

PVA is compatible as a dissolvable support material for nylon. PVA is also extremely susceptible to moisture uptake and should be dried at 60ºC and stored in a sealed container with dessicant.
