Program Codes Guide

Summary

G-codes and M-codes: What are they?

G-Code (Geometric Code): The generic industry term for the computer language that the AON3D machines use to control the geometric movement of all axes which dictates how parts are made. G-codes are the set of instructions generated by the slicer software that tells the AON3D machine components where to move, how fast to move, and what path to follow.

M-Code (Miscellaneous Code): M-Codes are miscellaneous functions that are used to power machine components ON/OFF. M-codes are typically non-geometric machine functions.
