Jabil PA 0600 is a polyamide/polyketone (PA-PK) alloy with high stiffness, good wear resistance, low friction and self-lubricating characteristics. The high stiffness and self-lubricating qualities make post-print machining, such as fly cuts, thread taps and heat stakes, simple and effective.
Compared to other tribologically similar polymers such as POM and PVDF, which are commonly used for similar applications, Jabil PA 0600 releases no odors or toxic fumes during processing, exhibits low warp and has similar dynamic and static coefficient of friction.
Printing Difficulty: Intermediate
Jabil PA 0600 can be purchased from AON3D directly by contacting help@aon3d.com.
Jabil PA 0600 is highly susceptible to hydration in ambient air, showing excessive stringing, bad seam quality and rough surface finish in printed parts. Filament spools should be installed in the Filament Dry Storage and Feed System prior to printing to prevent moisture uptake and minimize the impact of moisture on the printing process.
If the filament is hydrated, dry at 70ºC for at least 6 hours in a convection oven, before adjusting process parameters to obtain reliable and consistent results. Ensure drying equipment respects our site requirements to ensure adequate drying performance is achieved.
When not in use, store filament in air-tight bags or containers alongside silica or zeolite desiccant. Be sure to replace desiccant regularly as its moisture capture ability is exhausted. Our Filament Dry Storage and Feed System setup prevents filament moisture uptake minimizing the impact of moisture on the printing process, contact help@aon3d.com for more information.

For more information on build platform adhesion, see the Build Platform Adhesion guide.
Jabil PA 0600 prints well on Garolite G-10 build plate as it exhibits good adhesion behavior. It is recommended to use Nano Polymer Adhesive to ensure sharp corners of the print do not warp off the build surface during the print. For parts that have small contact area with the build platform, the use of a wide brim (10+ outlines) is recommended to improve first layer adhesion. Bed temperature is typically set to 60°C for this build sheet.
For the best results, ensure that the machine has reached thermal equilibrium before z-axis calibration. If the bed-to-nozzle distance is too small, or the first layer is too hot, the toolheads may collide and damage the build sheet.
Jabil PA 0600 can be printed on the PC film with the use of Nano Polymer Adhesive. Bed temperature is typically set to 60-70°C for this build sheet.
Jabil PA 0600 prints best on Kapton® tape with the use of Nano Polymer Adhesive.
Jabil PA 0600 can also be printed on the High-Temperature Build Plate, although bed adhesion is limited.
For best results, process settings should be adjusted based on a particular model geometry. If you require process development support, our Applications Engineering team can help! Send us a message at help@aon3d.com to consult with one of our Additive Manufacturing Specialists.
Jabil PA 0600 is sensitive to printing speeds; the slower, the better. Stringing is a common occurrence with this filament so its recommended to avoid crossing perimeter outlines when slicing new geometries.
Large, dense sections can be difficult to print as PA 0600 is generally more susceptible to part shrinking, warping and/or deformation. Use a sparse infill density (15-25%) to print larger parts.

AquaSys® 120 is a compatible soluble support material for Jabil PA 0600. Dual tool printing with PA 0600 and AquaSys® 120 requires fine-tuning for optimal printing.
For more information about printing with this support material, see the AquaSys® 120 guide.
All AON3D-validated materials are available in the SuperSlicer configuration bundle. Refer to SuperSlicer Installation and Update to install and update the SuperSlicer software. Follow the instructions to update to the latest version to ensure you have access to all available materials.
Simplify3D® sample profiles for Jabil PA 0600 are available in the Downloadable Assets section.
Allow all machine components to reach room temperature before proceeding further. Failure to allow components to cool down will result in thermal injury (burns) to personnel.
Shrinkage, deformation, and warpage due to thermal shock may occur from removing the part before letting the machine cool. Instructions for removing the part from the build platform and removing support material can be found on the Build Platform Adhesion and Using Supports and Support Materials guides.
Jabil PA 0600 parts can be peeled off of the Garolite G-10 build surface by hand at room temperature.

Stringing may occur when the filament is hydrated. Drying of Jabil PA 0600 is critical for optimal printing performance, but maintaining dryness is also difficult. Follow the drying procedure in the above Moisture Control section.
If stringing/oozing occurs even when properly dried and fed from a low humidity environment, slightly increase the Coasting Distance and/or the Retraction Speed, before increasing the Retraction Distance.
