Preheat Build Chamber Components

Category [ ] Installation [] Operation [ ] Maintenance

The wait time to heat soak the build chamber components to reach thermal equilibrium is thirty minutes to four hours. It is necessary to wait for the full recommended time to get the build chamber components to a stable temperature. Do not use the target temperatures, found on the Graphical User Interface (GUI)/web browser, to measure the temperatures in the build chamber during this procedure.

Failure to wait for thermal equilibrium may result in toolhead collision with the bed. Thermal expansion can affect the Z offset calibration by up to 2 mm.

AON M2+ (CE), AON M2+ (R-NZ) and AON M2+

Start the vacuum bed feature before preheating the machine.

Bed Temperature (ºC) Chamber Temperature (ºC) Minimum Heat Soak Time (Minutes)
Bed only: Low-temp <50 N/A 30
Bed only: Medium-temp 50-150 N/A 60
Bed only: High-temp 150-220 N/A 90
Bed & Chamber: Low-temp <50 <50 60
Bed & Chamber: Medium-temp 50-150 50-100 90
Bed & Chamber: High-temp 150-220 100-135 120

AON-M2 2020 and AON-M2

In order to reach and maintain a 120°C and higher chamber temperature, the bed requires to be heated to at least to 120°C.
